Soteria Galo

Secretary

Soteria (who also goes by Ria) moved to Oregon with her family in 1998. Her father is a faifeau and both of her parents are 1st Generation from Samoa. Right now, she currently resides in Central Point with her husband and two beautiful daughters, ages 5 and 1. She works at Southern Oregon University in the Office of Admissions as well as the Multicultural Retention Specialist for current students. Ria is very involved with her community through her work at the University, as well as through the many hats she wears within the First United Methodist Church. Her most favorite part of working with the Samoan community is connecting individuals and families to resources and information that will help meet their needs. It's important for her to see Samoans thrive, but most importantly, thrive together! "O le tele o sulu e maua ai figota, e mama se avega pe a ta amo faatasi".
