Motutama Sipelii

Motutama Nogotau Sipelii (he/him) is from the village of Utulei and Leone from American Samoa. He graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Public Health Studies: Pre-clinical Health Science and is an MPH candidate at the OHSU PSU School of Public Health Health Management & Policy MPH Program. Motu is the project coordinator for the Banyan Tree Project, which is a collaborative initiative between Samoa Pacific Development Corporation (SPDC) and the United Territories of Pacific Islander Alliance (UtopiaPDX) to provide sacred spaces for Pacific Islander youth, young adults, and elders, with a special focus on QTPIs, to unite for intergenerational cultural connections to promote healing and address mental health and social wellbeing.
